Thoughts on female John Watson
Is it a surprise? Hell NO! There was never a smidgen of doubt in my mind that Watson would be female. As much as I’d like to believe this was some producer trying to be progressive it really isn’t, is it? They will regurgitate the same old ”will they, won’t they” aspect that’s just so boring. I couldn’t care less if the protagonists from Castle or Bones get together as long as they continue solving murders.
If they manage to keep this platonic I will be very impressed and they did do a great job with Monk so it is possible but they’ll have to make the plot turns extremely interesting to catch viewers.
I do think the cast looks promising for the banal sounding Elementary and have a lot of potential to be edgy but I have my doubts. I do remember what happened to Life on Mars :S
